License Error Adding Read and Understood App to SharePoint Tenant

Some customers have noticed that when adding the Read and Understood App to a SharePoint tenant this message is displayed:

Microsoft are investigating the issue as the App does not require a licence. Our recommendation would be to follow the steps below to get the App added to SharePoint.

  1. Navigate to the SharePoint Admin Page (You'll need SharePoint Tenant Admin Role)
  2. Click 'More features' and in the Apps section, click Open

  3. From the Apps page click 'Classic Experience'

  4. Upload the app and you should see something like this:

  5. Close this tab and continue with the install instructions (step 6)
