Overview

Acknowledge provides a modern app for users to review all their acknowledgement reading requests in their M365 App of choice.

It can be used to complement or replace the use of email by ‘Read and Understood for SharePoint Online and Teams’ to notify employees of acknowledgement reading requests. By showing the authenticated user all their acknowledgement reading requests for SharePoint content in a consolidated view.

As a Microsoft 365 app, available from Microsoft AppSource, Acknowledge integrates into Outlook, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint so employees can choose their preferred application(s) to manage their acknowledgements.

When added to Teams, Activity notifications are received informing users of:

• Important acknowledgement reading requests that require immediate attention

• New acknowledgement reading requests for new and update documents

• Reminders that they have outstanding acknowledgement reading requests

• Acknowledgement requests that are ending soon

Filter options in Acknowledge make it easy and quick to locate the requests being highlighted by Teams activities.

Pricing

The Acknowledge App works in conjunction with Read and Understood and for customer on a paid subscription can use the app free of charge. For customers evalutation Read and Understood in ‘trial mode’ may also use the app for free for the duration of the trial. Customers on a free plan, the acknowledge app is not available.

What’s New

Customers that have been using the Acknowledge app for a while can upgrade to the new version to make use of some new features introduced, such as:

• Activities: a simple filter to organise your request by:

  • Important - those expiring soonest.

  • Urgent - requests that were issued immediately by the authors.

  • New - recent requests

  • Reminder - those where a reminder has been issued

  • Any - all requests (default).

Activity Announcements through Microsoft Teams requires the Acknowledge app to be added to Team. When Acknowledge is added to Teams by a User or through Policy deployment to Users, then the user can receive activity for acknowledgement requests, similar to emails. Microsoft teams can link those activity requiests to the Acknowledge app when the user clicks the activity.

Q&A

Does the App work with mobile devices, iOS/Android?

Yes. Assuming your using Microsoft apps for Outlook, Teams, SharePoint then the app will work.

Can I change the labels that appear on the App properties?

Yes. Within the Read and Understood app we’ve introduced a new Teams Tab to configure options on the ‘presentation - card or grid view’ and ‘Labels‘.
